Xinhua Satellite Television Group Co., Ltd. was approved by the government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China in 2008 and set up in Hong Kong, which works on television industry and has qualifications to apply for operating four channels including Chinese, variety shows, finance and scientific education.  Integrated by satellite television, network television, film and television investment, film and television production and distribution and broadcasting, it has been aiming to establish a modernized media platform with the core drive of creativity and services for international cultural development since its first day of enrollment. 

As a Hong Kong media developing in the center of international finance and international free trade port, the group will take its own international advantages to create and cultivate new cultural formats, contributing strength to pushing the world's cultural communication and development. At present, the Network Television Station of Xinhua TV is started officially, and ten international channels with characteristics are established, including cultural comprehensive, international finance, the era of science and technology, the Belt and Road, towns with characteristics, Universal Studios, inheritance of Traditional Chinese Medicine, charity, healthy pension, food and life. Besides, the TV station will make and broadcast some shows like films and television programs, documentaries, films with special topics and interviews which are characterized by the times, internationality and originality in a new form. Also, large-scale artistic talents training centers will be built through audition events. Developing, protecting and hatching the copyright of cultural creativity make Chinese cultural elements cover the whole world and bring other countries’ cultural elements with characteristics into China, fully fostering a cultural service platform worldwide.
